• Independently perform hazard analysis, define Safety Goals, and identify assumptions of use as needed.
• Sole support for all functional safety activities related to development processes.
• Define and implement Functional Safety Concepts for each Safety Goal independently.
• Independently perform and moderate safety analyses, such as FMEA and FTA.
• Derive Technical Safety requirements autonomously.
• Perform confirmation reviews and support verification reviews to ensure compliance with ISO 26262 Functional Safety standards.
• Define Safety Validation specifications and reports as the sole functional safety expert.
• Contribute to Functional Safety audits and assessments as the primary functional safety resource.
• Lead the implementation of the Functional Safety process within the organization, including the creation and optimization of templates, guidelines, and checklists.
• Act as the sole interface with customers and suppliers regarding Functional Safety matters.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with domain experts to ensure the delivery of the company’s goals and targets, representing the functional safety discipline.
• Be prepared for national and international travel as the unique functional safety representative.

• Engineering degree in Electronics & Communications / Automotive Electronics / Computer Science /Embedded Systems or related discipline.
• Strong knowledge and experience in working with and implementing ISO 26262 standard work products.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in an automotive environment (OEM / Tier Supplier or Engineering Service Provider).
• Comprehensive understanding of Automotive Systems.
• Experience with other relevant standards including ISO 9001, A-SPICE.
• Functional Safety (FuSa) certification.
