As the Director of Hardware, your responsibilities will include leading the design and development of cutting-edge robotics and hardware systems, managing a team of engineers, overseeing production and testing processes, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products to our clients.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of mechanical systems for automated storage and retrieval systems, including 3D modeling, prototyping, and testing.
Manage and develop a high-performance team of mechanical engineers, including providing mentorship, coaching, and performance evaluations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software, electrical, and controls engineers, to ensure successful integration of mechanical systems into the overall automation system.
Oversee the development of manufacturing processes for mechanical components and systems, including material selection, machining, and assembly.
Drive innovation in mechanical design and manufacturing processes, continually seeking opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; advanced degree preferred.
10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 3 years of experience in a managerial role leading a team of mechanical engineers.
Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and experience with 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks
Experience in the industrial automation industry, particularly in the design and development of robotics
Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functional teams, including software, electrical, and controls engineering, to ensure successful integration of mechanical systems.
