About the Role

As Manager of CDR Partnerships, you'll lead CDR market development and sales within priority verticals. You’ll manage end-to-end relationships and drive the vertical strategy, connecting our projects with corporate buyers.

CO280 is a leading developer of large-scale carbon removal projects, capturing biogenic CO₂ from pulp mills and permanently storing it underground. With over 10 million tonnes of annual carbon dioxide removal (CDR) in development, CO280 partners with industry leaders and serves major corporate clients like JPMorgan, Microsoft, and the Frontier buyers. We're rapidly growing, backed by prominent energy-transition investors, and are expanding our talented team to drive further impact.

Responsibilities

· Lead strategy and execution for CDR sales to specific vertical markets.

· Own the full-cycle, complex sales from prospecting to contract closure with major carbon removal buyers.

· Actively represent CO280 at industry events, conferences, and strategic forums.

· Engage with relevant standard-setting bodies

· Oversee the creation of comprehensive vertical market plans.

· Provide market insights to inform product strategy and industry positioning.

· Build and manage long term customer relationships.

· Identify growth opportunities in voluntary and compliance carbon markets.

· Collaborate internally with cross-functional teams to support customer requests throughout the sales cycle (MRV, marketing, engineering, finance, operations).

· Monitor and report on market trends, competitive activity, and relevant policy developments.

· You are a clear, strategic communicator who is skilled at translating technical concepts into compelling language.

· You can communicate effectively to diverse types of stakeholders such as technical buyers and corporate executives.

· You are confidant at communicating across all channels - written, in-person, phone, video, etc.

· Proven market development, relationship-building, and strategic planning skills.

· You have experience structuring complex, multi-year deals.

· Ability to travel to spend time in-person with customers, at industry events, and with the CO280 team.

· You enjoy attending conferences and consider yourself a strong networker.

· You hold a bachelor’s degree.

· 5+ years of experience in market development, strategic sales, or business development.

· Familiarity with carbon markets (compliance and voluntary), environmental commodities, or climate-focused sales cycles strongly preferred.

· Strong network in sustainability, procurement, or energy transition spaces is beneficial.
