Overview

Joby Aviation is seeking an experienced Product Support Technical Program Manager to join our growing Product Support Engineering Team with a focus on developing our OEM support infrastructure including cross functional project coordination, schedule management, for the development of specialized maintenance tooling. The position will be in our Santa Cruz, CA location. The role will actively work cross functionally with teams in Joby aviation including engineering, manufacturing, flight test, operations, and many more. The Product Support Technical Program Manager will be responsible for supporting cross functional initiatives across a range of aftermarket subjects with a heavy focus on the deployment of specialized aircraft tooling which interfaces with the Joby S4.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross functional teams on project scope definition, development planning, project execution focused on the execution of specialized aircraft maintenance tools.
  • Will be responsible to lead the project through multiple phases with each phase including scope definition, requirements drafting, implementation and verification.
  • Work closely with the team to develop and maintain timelines and project schedules related to the aftermarket portfolio and tied to program level integrated schedules.
  • Prioritize initiatives in an evolving organization, ensuring critical deliverables are identified and successfully completed.
  • Facilitate communication throughout the organization of the value proposition and operational need for the specialized tools.

Required

  • 3+ years’ experience in an integrated product development environment.
  • Program or project management experience preferred.
  • Ability to manage both short term urgent and long-term strategic projects.
  • Self-starter who is comfortable solving open ended problems.
  • Ability to focus large strategies into actionable roadmaps; driving fast implementation and iterative development.
  • Degree in engineering or equivalent experience.

Desired

  • Aviation, aerospace experience or other regulated industry (Pharma, Medical Device etc.)
  • Experience in product support, customer support or customer success organization highly preferred.
  • Degree or equivalent experience in controls automation, computer science/engineering, electrical engineering or equivalent.

The target base pay for this position is $111,300 - $147,500 per year salary. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
