Overview
We're seeking a Senior People Analytics Analyst / BI Developer to build the technical foundation of our people analytics function from the ground up. You'll own the data infrastructure and business intelligence ecosystem that will power data-driven people decisions across the company. This is a high-impact role where you'll architect systems, build dashboards, and enable leaders at all levels with actionable insights. This role reports to our head of Talent Development & Analytics to ensure analytics drive business impact.
Responsibilities
Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $143,000 - $196,000/yr
The compensation package offered will be determined by location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strategic PowerBI dashboards covering recruiting, performance, engagement, retention, and workforce planning
- Build data pipelines integrating HR systems (e.g., ADP, Lattice, iCIMS, and others) into Databricks, partnering with our data engineering team.
- Design data models optimized for reporting and self-service analytics
- Write SQL and Python code in Databricks to transform and model people data from multiple HR systems
- Create self-service analytics enabling managers to access team-specific metrics
- Interpret, communicate, and consult on insights generated for various stakeholders
- Iterate data governance frameworks and establish security protocols for people data
- Ensure data quality, system reliability, and dashboard performance
- 6+ years experience in data engineering, BI, or analytics engineering
- 2+ years experience with people data and HR data systems (HRIS, ATS, performance platforms)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field
- Experience with Databricks or other cloud data platforms
- Strong SQL skills for data transformation and modeling
- Advanced PowerBI proficiency (DAX, data modeling, report design)
- Ability to translate business needs into scalable dashboards and reports
- Master’s degree in related field
- ETL/ELT development skills
- R or Python for data transformation and analysis
- Experience training non-technical users on self-service analytics
- Knowledge of workforce planning, compensation, or talent acquisition metrics
