About Nori

We’re a team of believers. We believe that humanity can stop and even reverse climate change by removing over 1 trillion tonnes of CO2 from the atmosphere. How do we get people to remove that much carbon at scale? Pay them! Nori’s marketplace is the infrastructure that creates the financial incentive for people and companies to remove massive amounts of CO2 from the air.

We are a venture-backed and values focused company, caring deeply about people and our planet. Our team is made of a diverse set of people with complementing skill-sets, all unified on the mission to address the climate crisis by enabling global CO2 removal.

We strongly suggest that you read in detail about our company values and mission at https://nori.com/careers.

The Role

As a Product Designer at Nori, you will create impactful user experiences and actively contribute to reversing climate change. As a member of the Product & Engineering team, you will collaborate with our Supply and Demand teams to better understand our customers and stakeholders, then build products with our product manager and engineers to cater to their needs. Operating within a nascent and fast-growing industry, you will refine Nori’s product-market fit and drive initiatives to scale our climate impact toward gigatonne-scale carbon removal.

You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • Create delightful user experiences based on quantitative and qualitative data
  • Ship products with the rest of the Product & Engineering team
  • Work with customers, stakeholders, and employees to refine our product-market fit
  • Conduct user research and distill the data into insights that elevate our understanding of customers
  • Influence the role of product design at Nori and the overall climate tech landscape
  • Contribute to product strategy and planning to maximize team impact
  • Use the existing design system and tools (i.e., Figma) and introduce new elements as needed

As you get more comfortable, you will actively contribute to shipping products that we’ve committed to on our H2 2023 roadmap. We will also collaborate with the rest of the team to continue refining Nori’s product-market fit by conducting customer research and refreshing existing products.

  • Ambiguity in how to scale existing, early traction into industry-defining growth
  • Making an abstract product (i.e., atmospheric CO2) feel tangible and needed to the end customers
  • Customers are primarily B2B, warranting a different approach than B2C for customer discovery
  • Reporting to the product team and comfortable being the only designer on the team

Must-Haves:

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role, demonstrable via a strong portfolio
  • Experienced in user research methods such as focus groups, usability tests, etc.
  • Incorporates qualitative & quantitative data into product designs & decisions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, adaptable to different work & communication styles
  • Appetite for ambiguity & learning at the intersection of two fast-changing industries (climate + web3)

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Prior experience building B2B, B2B2B, B2B2C products
  • Prior experience with climate, finance, and/or web3-related projects
  • Prior experience building & maintaining design systems and component libraries
  • Savvy with product copywriting
  • Prior experience with brand / graphic design
