We are looking for a Platform Engineer to help shape the future of synthetic data by architecting and implementing core systems. You will apply your combined experience in infrastructure engineering, cloud service orchestration, and backend development to lead integration projects, and support services that reliably scale to serve the users of our platform.

What You'll Do:

  • Drive technical discussions and collaborate to define and realize our product capabilities, working cross-functionally with members of our Machine Learning, Content, Simulation and Customer teams.
  • Design, deploy and maintain cloud infrastructure, orchestration and core platform services.
  • Mature proof-of-concept systems into high-availability and low-latency customer-accessible solutions.
  • Improve our internal developer experience through task automation and strategic creation of tools.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Architecting with AWS services: EKS, EC2, S3, Lambda, Aurora, Storage Gateway, CloudFront, Route 53, IAM.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform, Packer, Helm.
  • Containerization and Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Programming and Scripting Skills:Python, Bash, PowerShell, SQL/database management. Backend services application development utilizing common frameworks (e.g. gRPC, flask)
  • Operating Systems:Linux/Unix systems administration. Cloud deployment of Windows and Linux applications.
  • Performance Tuning and Optimization: scalability of applications and infrastructure.
  • Monitoring and Logging Tools: CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, for monitoring, logging, and alerting of Linux and Windows nodes.
  • CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions. Perforce automation a plus.

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience creating cloud streaming, interactive media or simulation services especially those reliant on Windows applications.
  • Deep understanding of software development best practices. Experience with developer tools commonly used in C++ application development.
  • Security Best Practices, including secure coding and vulnerability scanning.

Location Information: This position offers the flexibility of a remote work arrangement based at our Vancouver, British Columbia office. We have a strong preference for candidates in the Vancouver area, that are willing to come in office on a hybrid basis. We are also open to considering applicants outside the Vancouver office, but they must be willing to work in the Pacific Time Zone. For remote team members, a commitment to our core operating hours and attending quarterly in-person meetings at our Vancouver office is required.
