About Pickle Robot
Do you want to get in on the ground floor of a fast growing, VC backed, robotic solutions company serving the warehouse and logistics industries? Then join Pickle Robot! We build robotic systems that companies and the people who work for them love.
Pickle robots unload trucks. Everyday millions of trucks and ocean freight containers are loaded and unloaded around the world. Many of those vehicles are floor-loaded, which means people need to manually handle every package - work that is difficult, dirty, sometimes dangerous, and increasingly hard to staff. Pickle Robot is laser focused on automating trailer and container unloading using AI, machine learning, computer vision, advanced sensors, and industrial robotics to deliver engineered products customers rely on. Pickle Robot Unload Systems work with people on loading docks to make the work safer, faster, and more efficient.

  • Write operating and maintenance manuals, training documents, and step-by-step guides to aid warehouse staff in learning to use our autonomous truck unloading robot
  • Work with product management, deployment engineers, and hardware/software engineers to learn the ins and outs of operating our robot
  • Work with field engineering at customer sites to validate documentation accuracy and ease of consumption
  • Convey highly technical information about the limits of the robot, safety functions, and electrical interfaces in the form of user documentation that is digestible by target users
  • Create a consistent style guide across multiple technical documents that uses existing brand guidelines from the company
  • Ensure documentation complies with relevant RIA and electrical safety standards

  • At least 5 years of technical writing experience for products that include hardware and software, preferably industrial automation or robotics products
  • A bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, industrial, or computer engineering (or alternatively significant experience working with technical products)
  • Experience with Onship CAD and the ability to capture illustrations from the system with little or no assistance from engineers
  • Ability to take initiative and seek out information on SOPs and product design in situations where no current documentation exists
  • Ability to interview technical staff and pull relevant information from them for documentation purposes
  • Must be able to operate in a fluid startup environment
