Pickle is on the hunt for an organized and ambitious People Operations Coordinator to revolutionize the future of warehouse automation. This role will play a key part in ensuring a smooth and positive experience for candidates, new hires, and current employees through efficient coordination of HR activities, onboarding, and special projects. What You’ll Accomplish:
- Handle core recruiting coordination activities, including scheduling and managing logistics to ensure a seamless experience for both candidates and interviewers.
- Facilitate the onboarding process, including orientation scheduling, setting up employee access, and managing onboarding documents.
- Accurately add new hires and update employee information in the HRIS system.
- Own the completion of new hire paperwork, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Support compliance initiatives by administering background checks and managing mandatory training, such as sexual harassment prevention and safety training.
- Collaborate with teammates in People, Operations & IT to implement new tech platforms for recruiting and human resources initiatives.
- Track HR activities and assist in other HR projects to enhance employee experience and optimize processes.
- Spearhead new People initiatives to organize, document and distribute crucial organizational data.
- Own employee engagement activities in collaboration with the Operations & People team.
- Collaborate with your teammates to streamline and enhance HR processes and programs. Our team's success depends on continuously improving and increasing efficiency.
Who You Are:
- Experienced: You have 2+ years of experience in a People Operations role within a high-growth environment, ideally at a startup.
- HR Fluent: You possess a strong grasp of HR operations, with knowledge spanning compliance tasks like administering background checks, handling employee paperwork, and data administration.
- Organized: You thrive in roles where details matter and can effectively manage multiple priorities.
- Recruiting Savvy: You have exposure to recruiting principles and best practices.
- Process-Driven: You create structure where others see disorganization. You excel at developing and communicating repeatable SOPs for yourself and your colleagues.
- Strong Communicator: Your verbal and written communication skills enable you to connect with people at all levels.
- Tech-first: You quickly master new technology and are skilled at explaining software to others. You have used a variety of HRIS & ATS tools. Experience with Lever, Lattice and JustWorks is a bonus!
- Proactive: You take initiative and enjoy learning new things to keep growing within HR. You have a bias towards action and continuously look for ways to support the organization.
- Ownership Mentality: You take extreme ownership of your role, approaching it like a founder, no matter who you report to.
- Creative Problem Solver: You know how to "draw the rest of the owl."
- Local: You live in the Greater Boston area and are excited to work out of our Cambridge office at least 3-4 days per week
