About the role:
We are seeking a Working Student to join our AI/ML team at Recogni. A keen eye for detail, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work in a collaborative environment are essential for this position.
As a Working Student, you will play a vital role in assisting our two AI teams in the Munich office. Recogni’s Perception team develops state-of-the-art perception for autonomous driving. The core ML team focuses on converting and deploying deep neural networks to our custom AI accelerator. The team also develops compression and quantization techniques, and an AI SDK that is used by customers. You will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to the team's projects.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Project Support: Assist the AI/ML team in their ongoing projects related to perception for autonomous driving; providing necessary support and inputs wherever required.
- Deep Learning Acceleration: Contribute to tasks focused on conversion, compression, and quantization for our custom Deep Learning accelerator.
- Research Assistance: Support the team in their R&D endeavors, particularly in areas related to perception, conversion, and quantization techniques.
- Problem Solving: Collaborate with team members to address technical challenges and seek innovative solutions and approaches.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the AI/ML team to understand their requirements and help to ensure progress in various projects and tasks.
- Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of the latest developments and trends in AI technology, while deepening your understanding and knowledge throughout your tenure.
Required Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Completed Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Basic Programming Skills: Practical experience with Python or C++, and a willingness to learn more about frameworks like PyTorch.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment and support the team's objectives and tasks.
- Communication Skills: Good interpersonal and communication skills with an aptitude for understanding and discussing technical topics.
- Self-driven: Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and work independently when required.
- Interest Areas: Interest or coursework in at least one of the following areas: Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Automotive, Robotics, High-Performance Computing.
