Key Responsibilities :

• Responsible for leading the Development Engineering team for the mechanical commodities (Fabrication, Casting, forgings, machining, sheet metals, & Coatings, etc.)
• Responsible for doing the internal design DFM along with engineering and ensuring the design is mass production worthy.
• Responsible for selecting the appropriate supplier along with CFT.
• Should be capable of defining the suitable materials, and manufacturing processes as per engineering requirements.
• Should be well-equipped with technical and soft skills to handle different supplier and own the overall part development at the supplier end.
• Responsible for achieving the required Quality and Run&Rate at the supplier end.
• Should be capable of defining new processes, standards, and procedures of Auditing, Process Approval, and Rejection Analysis.
• Responsible for process audits and process approval, PPAP, and sustenance audits.
• Proficient in various ISO, ASTM, and DIN standards applicable to Mechanical commodities.
• Should have hands-on experience in different manufacturing processes like Casting, Machining, Fabrication, sheet metals, forgings, and coatings.
• Should have hands-on experience in using different measurement instruments like CMM, DFT, FARO, and other conventional equipment.
• Should have hands-on experience in functional gauge conceptualization and gauge calculations.
• Should be proficient in Process capability, MSA, 5Why, 8D, and other quality tools.
• A certified process auditor or 6-Sigma certification will have an added bonus point.

Ideal Candidate :

• B.Tech or Diploma in mechanical, production, or automobile engineering
• B.Tech with 10+years or diploma with 12+ years of experience
• Having experience with at least 2 OEMs.
• Experience in handling a team of min. 4 engineers
