Opportunity
e-Zinc is searching for a Supply Chain Specialist to join our incredible team. This is a rare opportunity that will provide a platform for the right person to help a start-up company achieve our vision and contribute meaningfully to our success. The ideal candidate thrives in a team environment, is smart and adaptable, able to multitask, and has a passion for success. This is an onsite position, Monday-Friday, full-time.
Accountability
Reporting to the VP procurement, the Supply Chain Specialist will support the Technology Development team with regards to sourcing, purchasing and ensure adherence to standard purchasing protocols. The role will also support the Technology Development team with regards to sourcing, purchasing and ensure adherence to standard purchasing protocols.
Position scope and responsibilities
- Issue requests for quotes/proposals & select best source consistent with specification requirements, cost, quality, and delivery requirements.
- Generates, amends, and expedites purchase orders.
- Work with suppliers on non-conforming materials.
- Provides status of open Purchase Orders back to the Requestor.
- Act as liaison between suppliers and R & D team to resolve procurement related problems.
- Resolve invoice issues.
- Ensure approval guidelines based on the Delegation of Authority Matrix are adhered too.
- Purchasing materials, & supplies, including the Mesa, Arizona operation.
- Processing online orders such as Amazon, U Line, etc.
- Performing inventory transactions as well as organizing.
- Perform receiving activities including verification and issue to stock room.
- Participate in Cycle Counting and periodically physical inventory activities.
- Logistics support in coordination of shipments.
- Keeping track of purchase orders and providing open Purchase Order reports.
- Communicating Purchasing and sourcing activity initiatives occurring in the Technology Development team to the Supply Chain management team.
- Ensure all material is available to start producing a work order.
- Create work orders for Mfg. Ops and schedule the start and due date based on material availability.
- Keep Manufacturing informed about the Open purchase orders as it relates to the work orders.
- Delivering completed orders to the internal customers.
Qualifications
- 5 years purchasing & supply chain experience preferably in an Engineered to Order environment.
- Strong Communication skills
- Ability to us MS Excel and Word
- Understanding of Procurement, Inventory Management & Logistics.
- Formal Supply Chain certification would be considered an asset.
